Almost Saved.

A Friend Of Mine Suggested I Watch This, And It Really Surprised Me; Made Me Really Think About Things ... So Now I'm Simply Returning The Favor. Watch, Reflect, Act On It. (Y)

Feared Words.

Any Guy Who Has A Girl He's Been Feeling Lately Should Know What I'm Talking About. There Are A Few Words That We Never Want To Hear From Her, 'Cause Usually, The Chances Of Us Winning Her Over After She Says Them Are Drastically Lowered. (N) Here They Are, From The Most To An Almost Nil Chance:

- “I Like You Too, But Not That Way.”
[Not Soo Bad, You’re Still In The Game. (Y)]

- “I Think I Still Love My Ex.”
[Getting Bad…]

- “We’re Soo Close, You’re Like A Brother To Me.”
[*Sigh … Better Give Up & Start Looking For Someone Else. (N)]

We May Shrug It Off Most Times, But The Truth Is It Hurts Like A Dagger, Especially When We Happen To Like The Girl Alot. (N) Of Course, Having To Move On May Also Mean That She Wasn't The Right One, But When You're Really Feeling Someone, It Can Be A Pretty Tough Fact To Swallow. Best Of Luck To The Dudes Who May Find Themselves In This Scenario; Hopefully You Won't Get Hit In The Face With Any Of Those Statements. (Y)

Thoughts For Today.

Currently, I'm At My Uncle's House, Chilling On His Desktop, Searching For The Best iPhone Plans Companies Have To Offer, Thinking About What I Want To Accomplish This Summer, And Yes, Her. (: Phone-Wise, I'm Stuck Deciding Between Rogers & Telus, Though I'll Most Likely Reach A Final Decision After Gathering Feedback From A Few Of My Friends Who Are With Those Companies. With Regards To Summer Plans, There Are Quite A Few Things I Need To Do, Like Secure A Job, For Starters, Lol. Everything Else Should Fall In Place After That, Since I'll Be Able To Get My First Ever Phone (It's A Shame, I Know), And Have Cash To Save And Spend Leisurely. Chillage Is A Must This Summer; I've Met Soo Many Cool People Over That Past Couple Years That I Still Have Yet To Chill With, Due To School & Conflicting Schedules, So Yeah, That's Definitely Happening. (Y) Working Out Is One Of The More Personal Goals That I'm Going In On; I've Been Working Out From Earlier In The Year, And Getting Decent Results, But I'm Realizing That I Need To Do A Mix Of Different Routines Instead Of Sticking With One, In Order To Get That Nice Toned Look That I Want, So I'mma Get On That, Starting Now. Now, Concerning The Girl I've Been Thinking About, I'd Say It's A Bit Complicated; I Want To Be That Person She Needs & Prove To Her That She's Special, But I'm Not Sure How To Go About It, Or Even If I Can Be That Person ... Not That I'm Gonna Let That Stop Me. Summer's Just Getting Started, And I'm Open To Whatever Happens, So I'll Give It A Shot, & See How It Turns Out; Haha, Maybe I'll Get Lucky. (Y)

Beaches x Sunsets.

The Perfect Time & Place To Think, Reflect & Reminisce.

Summer ...

Is Filled With Breaking The Rules And Standing Apart, Ignoring Your Head And Following Your Heart.

Keep It Real.

; The Worst Thing About Being Lied To Is Knowing That You're Not Worth The Truth.

Life's Rules.

1. If You Don't Go After What You Want, You Will Never Have It.

2. If You Don't Ask, The Answer Will Always Be No.

3. If You Don't Step Forward, You'll Always Remain In The Same Place.

Whoa ...

It's Finally Dawned On Me That In Two Short Weeks, I'll Be Finished With High School ... For Good. I Knew That Someday The Time Would Come, But I Felt As Though I Had Soo Much Time Left; Even After The Weather Started Getting Hotter, Teachers Started Talking About Exams, And My Friends Began Mentioning Universities More & More Frequently In Their Conversations, It Still Hadn't Hit Me That It Was Almost Time To Graduate. Maybe It Was Because I've Been Stuck In The Same Old Routine, Which Consisted Of:

1. Spending The School Year With Friends
2. Being Let Out During Summer
3. Coming Back To School & Meeting Up With Old Friends

And Lather, Rinse, & Repeat. After Doing The Same Thing For 12 Years, It's Pretty Hard To Imagine That You Won't Be Following That Routine Again; In Fact, You May Never See Some Of Those Friends Again. I've Made Alot Memories With My Class, And It'll Be Tough Parting With Them After Being Together For Soo Long, But We've All Got To Move On To Bigger And Better Things. It Is A Big Change, But Hey ... We've All Gotta Start Somewhere, Right?

Where Are You Looking?

Some People Talk About Finding God ... As If He Could Get Lost.

Fill In The Gap ... Naw, I'm Good.

Distance Is Not For The Fearful. It Is For The Bold. It Is For Those Who Are Willing To Spend A Lot Of Time Alone In Exchange For A Little Time With The One They Love. It Is For Those Who Know A Good Thing When They See It, Even If They Don’t See It Nearly Enough.

Always Gotta Have More.

Men Know What They Want Until They Have It, & Women Don't Know What They Want Unless They Can't Have It ... We're Never Satisfied, It Seems.

Change.

We've All Had That One Friend Who We Were Extremely Tight With. The One We'd Call Every Other Day, Chill With All The Time, And Spend Hours On End Talking With. And Then, Time Goes By, And Both Of You Get More And More Busy. Suddenly, Those Phone Calls Become Less And Less Frequent, Chilling Disappears Since Your Working Schedules Clash With One Another, And Those 3-5 Hour Conversations During Which Both Of You Talked About Anything & Everything Turn Into 10-15 Minute Small Talk, With Both Of You Struggling To Find Something Interesting To Chat About. Before You Know It, The Person You Knew Soo Well A Year Ago Has Become A Distant Stranger, And Eventually, Both Of You Drift Apart. Personally, I Hate The Concept Of Ending A Friendship On Such Terms ... Unfortunately, That's Reality. People Change, And Whether It's For The Best Or Worst, In The End, There's Little Say You Have In The Matter. It's Unfortunate Though, 'Cause It's Not That You Miss The Person, It's Who They Used To Be That You Want Back.

Why The Rush?

This Is Something I Seriously Need To Work On. I'm The Type Of Person Who Will Ask Questions First, Complete Whatever The Task Is As Quickly And Effectively As Possible, And Then Sit Back And Relax. It's Easy To Utilize This Method With School & Work, But In Other Areas, Like Socially, It Rarely Brings About The Same Results. It's Not Like It Happens On A Consecutive Basis, But There Are Moments When I Could Take Things At A Slower Pace, Instead Of Simply Blazing Through It. When You're Used To Going Fast For So Long, It Takes A Great Deal Of Effort To Actually Bring Your Pace Down A Notch, But At Times, Taking It Slow Will Take You Alot Further Than You Think, As Opposed To Just Rushing Recklessly Through Everything.

Where's The Remote Control For My Life?

I'm Sure All Of Us Have Wished We Could Apply At Least One Of The Actions On Those Buttons To Our Lives At Some Point; Unfortunately, Life Hasn't Extended That Luxury To Us.

Then Again, If We Could Just Pause, Rewind And Fast Forward Whenever We Wanted, Would We Still Be Able To Face Things Head On? Hm ... Sometimes, Even Having The Easy Way Out Isn't Necessarily The Best Option; There Are Some Things You Just Gotta Face Head On.

Seems Like It's Only Temporary ...

This Has Been On My Mind For A While Now, So I Think It's Time I Make A Post About It. Now, I'm Sure Everyone's Familiar With The Term 'Best Friend', But Just To Be Sure, Here's My Definition:

Best Friend:
A Person You Have Known For A Significantly Long Period Of Time Who Is Much Closer To You Than A Friend And Is Someone You Regard With Great Trust And Affection.

Now, Recently, I've Been Continuously Engaging In A Particular Conversation That Has Begun To Bother Me, Hence The Reason I'm Blogging This. It Goes Something Like This:

Me: *Greets Friend (Daps, Hugs, Etc.) & Engages In Convo*
Friend: *Reciprocates*

*Friend's 'Supposed' Best Friend Passes Through*

Me: *Greets Best Friend*
Best Friend: *Reciprocates*
Friend *Says Nothing, Looks Away, Appears Nonchalant*
Best Friend: *Walks Off*
Me: That's Your Best Friend, Why Didn't You Say Anything?
Friend: *Kanye Shrug* Oh, We're Not Cool/Close/Friends Anymore ...

*Awkward Silence*

Me: So, How 'Bout Them Lakers? ->Insert New Topic Here<-

& That's Pretty Much How It Goes. I Rarely Ask For The Reason Why The Two Aren't Best Friends Anymore, Since I May Not Be Close With That Particular Person, And More Often Than Not, The Situation Is Personal. However, I Can't Help But Wonder What Exactly Happened That Was Soo Hard To Fix That They Can't Be Friends Anymore? The Troubling Aspect About It Is How Common It's Becoming; I See Two People Who Couldn't Be Closer, Practically Tied Together At The Hip One Day, And The Week After That, They Couldn't Be Any More Distant. And To Add To It, The Next Time I See Either Of Them, They Have A New 'Best Friend' ... Usually Someone They Never Would've Spent Time With Before The Incident. It's Only Been A Few Months, But I Swear I've Seen People Going Through 'Best Friends' Like A Sick Person Goes Through Kleenex. If Anything, It Just Goes To Show That The Term 'Best Friend' Has Lost Meaning To Some People; It's Understandable To Let A Friend Go When They Have No Significant Bonds With You, Or If They Were Close To You And Did Something Unforgivable ->Insert Unforgivable Act Here<-, But When The Reason Is Small & Insignificant, Or Something That Could Easily Be Worked Out, It Seems Like An Utter Waste Of All The Time And Memories You've Invested & Made In/With That Person To Just Throw Everything Away So Quickly. If The Individual Is Important To You, Which They Should Be, Seeing As They're Your Best Friend, Then Both Of You Should Make An Effort To Get Through The Ordeal, Instead Of Just Saying, "Screw It, I Want Out." I Hate Seeing People That Were Once The Best Of Friends, But Now, Can't Stand The Sight Of One Another; It's A Sad Thing To Observe, Really. It Just Seems Like Having A Best Friend Nowadays Is Only Temporary ...
